Nursing Homes Ireland has launched Comfort Words, a national initiative encouraging children to reach out to older people in Nursing Homes during Covid19. Comfort Words is encouraging children to support older people during this difficult time by writing to them. Some pictures from our Social Therapeutic Horticulture programme that will be running for three months in our Maple unit rooftop garden. We are now on our 7th week of the programme and all residents have shown great enthusiasm. Join us on Thursday afternoons!
Occasion Cards by the Evergreen Our residents in our Evergreen unit have been busy making these gorgeous occasion cards to sell in Belmont’s coffee shop for €1 each. All proceeds go to the Alzheimer Society of Ireland. So far we have raised over €200! Pop in to get yours.
World Day Of The Sick Join us on Sunday the 9th of February at the Church of the Guardian Angels for Mass and Anointing of the Sick with Principal Celebrant, Archbishop Diarmuid Martin.
